Soma Video Productions was formally started in 1997 by Kurt Sieber, an engineering graduate of Carnegie Mellon University. With the onset and affordability of the "digital" camera's, he felt the time was right to venture into what up until that time, had been a hobby begun in the early 80's. Having also been involved in the martial arts since a young boy, it was only natural that his first commercial efforts be in that arena. (SOMA actually stands for : Sieber Okinawan Martial Arts.)

"SVP is primarily a one-man "boutique" production facility, hiring or sub-contracting work as necessary, though most of the work is performed by myself. I have found this to be the most cost effective approach.", states Mr. Sieber. "This translates into lower overhead and ultimately a better price for the client while maintaining the high-quality of work that SVP has become known for. "

Mr. Sieber continues to grow the business, accepting only those projects that are inline with the company vision and that will also be mutually successful for himself, but most importantly, for the client.
